Hi, last tuesday I had my cam cover gasket replaced due to a mega bad oil leak. During the following day's I noticed a very minor few drops of oil when I moved the car in the morning, but put this down to not having cleaned the engine yet and this just being the remainder dripping off the bottom. On saturday I got my timing belt done. When we got underneath it there seemed to be a leak coming from the gearbox where it meet's the engine, the mechanic told me a seal had gone between the engine and the gearbox and this mean's that when I get this done I'm going to have to replace my clutch as more than likely when he takes it off it will contaminate it and it will slip! And then need to be done anyway!
Is this right? Any advice is more than welcome just looking for a second opinion really without taking it to another garage!

cabel change box the clutch is normal way round so flywheel will protect clutch from oil if its the cranck end seal but its very easy time to change clutch and it probaly well worn so daft not to do it

If the crank seal is leaking, I would 100% fit a new clutch.

Cheer's, just wanted a second opinion! Has anyone fitted a competition clutch before? And if so is it worth me fitting 1?

is it a compotion car ? if not don't bother the same clutch will hold a 20vt happily so unless it's magorly modifyed it'll be just fine with a std one
