Title: to spray or not to spray!
Post by: insane on 07 August 2004, 09:33
that is the question!
 :)

hey all!
just wondered what peoples thoughts on this are
on my mk3 golf, the back spoiler has now tunred grey from black
not matter how many times i back to black it, it always ends of grey in a few weeks again
so options are either buy a brand new one, or find a decent second hand one
or spray it black
also the question comes into the whole trim thing to!

has anyone sprayed there trim on the car ie. spoiler, side trim. wheel arches, front bumper etc
does it last? or should i spend a fortune trying to find colour coded ones to spary up or stick on there if there black already?

many thanx
Ben

i was going to get my trim sprayed black but i have a tight driveway so if i bash the door trim against the wall then it would start to peel off. Might want to have a think about that?

Have you tried turtle wax's tyre jell on your trim? Works best.

spray job it is then i think!
will try the back spoiler first see how it goes,
can you spray metallic paint over the plastic primer? or is that just a silly question
