Title: I can smell petrol fumes :(

I can smell petrol fumes coming from around the rear of the engine near the bulkhead on the drivers side.
Is there a filter around there or petrol pipes as i cant see any leaks or drips anywhere just a smell of petrol.

Its on a VR6 by the way
Im thinking this my only appear when first starting the car but need to check after a run as ive only noticed it this morning (wife brought it back panickng)

The rubber fuel lines run from the rail to by the brake master cylinder. Probably need replacing, only cost about 10 quid.

Check the rubber fuel hoses that go into the rail very carefully, they are known to split/wear over time.
Problem is, they may only leak when the engine is cold, then seal when engine has warmed. Still potentially dangerous.
