I think i need a battery for my 1.8t. i dont think the 1.4 battery wil do the job.
i ask because i dont know how specific the cranking amp is to the power of an engine, etc. there are many 1.8t engines, S3, vrs, mk4 golf, cupra's......... the 150bhp, 180bhp and 210/225 have different battery's but i dont know which battery to go for. i got an AUM, which will be running around 230bhp.
how important is it to get the right battery? or can i just run the 1.4 battery for now.
stats according to eurocarparts.com:
150bhp battery - 12v 55Ah, 540CA
180bhp battery - 12v 70Ah, 720CA
210/225 battery - 12v 100Ah, 800CA
cheers :)

battery size isn't really related to engine size out output, amount of power munching toys fitted, bigger engine normaly mean more toys henec bigger battery. 1400 battery will be fine for now
