I'm off to my first track day in my Mk2 Golf. Just wondering if anyone was going and/or if anyone had any tips.
Are there garages there or somewhere to dump tools/road wheels etc?

Awesome circuit but no garages. Best take a cheap gazebo to put the car under if the weather isn't the greatest.
Not going to this one but will be down there on the 25th July for my first outing in mine.

I won't be there, going on the 6th and the 26th June.
No garages but plenty of open space to dump your stuff, if you're on an organised day it should be safe enough, who are you going with?
If they've got an instructor its well worth the cost of getting them to sit in with you.
Usual advice applies, start off slow and build up gradually through the day, keep an eye on your cars vitals, brakes, oil, water, tyres etc.
Video of a lap at Castle Combe below:

Its a good circuit with some technical corners, brilliant fun, and very addictive.
Have a good fun day.

Great circuit guide - thanks!
It's being run by bhp trackdays - their website and the stuff they've sent me looks good; overtaking by consent etc etc which is what I'm after to start with.

Just looked up the day and that seems really good value for money!

£70 too much, by my reckoning...... :lipsrsealed:

Had a fantastic time at Castle Combe - I was the only Golf there and had the oldest car by about a decade, but still put some newer machines to shame!
Unfortunately, I may have broken it
Please have a look at my post in the garage and help if you can!

Glad you had a good day.
Wished I was driving after watching the Historic racing there on Sunday.
