Title: fuel pump not priming

i have just done an engine conversion on my mk3 golf and now the fuel pump will not prime, i had to take the old loom out the fuse box and fit the new one in, was wondering if anyone new which plugs and relays do what in the fuse box? the loom is off a obd 1 vr6 cheers

what was the car before, did you fit the right VR ecu relay?

it was a 1.4 8valve, i got the fuse box with the engine, there was no extra relays both boxes had the same in each, should there be more?

early VR should have an ECU relay in slot 3, did the vr fusebox come with one there?
oh and the fuel relay is bottom right, does it click with the ignition?
