Title: Golf TDI question.......
Post by: Miss Piggy on 06 August 2004, 09:08
DP has a 2002 VW Golf TDI.....

And you know the little silver letters on the boot that spell out "GOLF" and "GTI" - well some little sh*t has picked them off!!!

I am so  >:(  >:(  >:(

Good job DP didn't catch them really as they would have got a hiding and he would be in trouble........

Anyway two questions:

1). How do I go about replacing them? How much might it cost? A fortune probably as I'll have to go to the VW garage

2). How can we stop it happening again? I though we lived in an OK area - obviously not . We don't have a garage or drive so have to park outside.......

they're not that expensive from the dealer, just peel the back off and stick them on. there's sometimes a couple of sets floating around ebay.
or just leave it de-badged and smoothed to stop it happening again  ;D

I took my GTI letters off to replace them with the rabbit and new gti letters so I've got a spare set if you want them?  All you need is some of that sticky stuff to stick them to the car?

Just let me know
