Title: Just done rocker cover gasket and vac hoses and it's not running right?
Post by: mk3valver on 07 May 2009, 22:20
Hi, I've just done the rocker cover gasket and vac hoses on my 16v and it's now running really lumpy and seem's to have lost power? There was loads of corroded vac pipes which I've replaced and thought it was gonna run better but doesn't? Any idea's?

ecu reset may help  :undecided: leave the battery disconnected for 30-40 mins

We didn't disconect the battery when we did gasket before, might it still work though?

Yes also have you 100% put everything back as it should.

I think so I had a mechanic doing it with me? It's getting a full service tomorrow so fingers crossed!

If its was fine before you started. And not afterwards you obviously havnt put it back right. As the Vac hoses are what cause commen running issues. Check it again. And check the rocker cover gasket is sat properly.
