right then all you guys have helped me out by what i think is intendifying what is wrong with the golf...it looks like either the injectors are blocked or there is to much fuel going into the engine and flooding it before it can start so how can i get the injectors off to see if they are blocked and is there somethin that i can check to see if there is to much fuel going into the engine?? cheers

what year/engine is it?

its a 1987 8v digifant engine

try it with the vac hose to the fpr disconnected and plugged, if fuel comes out of the nipple the fpr is toast. also ifd the vac line is knackered it wont help either!
injector rail is held on with a couple of hard to reach allen bolts, then injectors are just pushed into the head
