The day started with me and my mate looking at cheap Caddys for a project to work on over summer. I've been trying to persuad him to get something like an old golf for ages.
I then remembered this girl I went to uni with said she was selling a Golf a while ago. She said she still had it so I asked for a bit of info.
The car is a 1987 1.8 GL in Gold, with full brown interior :D Chrome stripping on the bumpers and windows too.
It's got MOT until August, and the tax has just ran out.
So we began our 2 hour journey to Southhampton to check out this Mk2 :)
When we got there, the Dad had jump started it as it had been left unused since Christmas.
I checked it over and there were a few cosmetic things that need sorting, the only bit of rust being on the tailgate below the numberplate.
The wingmirror needs fixing, and theres a crack/dent in the front bumper. Theres also quite a bit of free movement in the gearstick.
I drove it back from Southhampton for my mate, and it drove really well.
Me giving it a wash on the way home :P

Anyway, get those stickers off the back and put some boiled linseed oil on the bumpers and your half way there.
