Title: Which brakes
Post by: B-chi on 05 May 2009, 15:34
I've got a price for standards £35 each for discs & £20 for pads.

But have found updated ones for £40 pads & £50 discs.

Is it worth buying updated pads & discs on a 2.0 8v?

If so what do you guys recomend?

Budget ideally around £100-150. After value really

gsf standard discs ftw. lots of people have different opinions on pads, guess its just down to personal preference.

i think uprated discs are a waste of time for the price you pay.

:)

I used EBC greenstuff pads and EBC disc's and would really not recommend them
car is mainly used for trackdays and the greenstuff pads was s##t

I use cheap OEM pads and disc,s now and have no problems so i would
recommend just get the cheap ones mate

Yeah didn't have a good time with greenstuffs on my 220gti.

I'll look up that mintex set. Would they really be that much better than standard.

I can't really tell what they are like at the moment as I think they're warped & I get heavy steering wheel wobble.

Thinking about it. They ain't that bad actually. Hmm decisions decisions.
