:afro: what colour Golf do you have??

err aren't there two versions of the Anniversary splitter?
one for the petrol, that takes air in via the bumper grill and one for the derv that takes in in via the splitter to accommodate for the FMIC, my ETKA is at home so can't check.
whilst either splitter will fit, when you come to fit it, you'll find air scoop that runs from your current splitter to the passenger side engine cover, this will either fit with the new splitter or not.

not 100%, obviously the rear ones differed, but i'm sure i've seen diesel and petrol versions of the front one.

Had a look under my car today and found that the vent is attached to something behind the standard splitter so don't think this will fit without some modding ....so because I am unsure I am selling it and just going to colour code the standard one. Really wantd this one.

shouldn't do as the Anni was fitted with the same engine as you
-
I'm just baffled now as to what the vent will attach to. :embarassed:What excatly is this vent for...I'm asuming it's to let cold air in....

got any pics??
-
The vent is a air feed for the gear box, I wouldn't have thought not having it would make any difference

ah cool - never really looked lol
-
Dont think you got one
-
No sorry no pics...all I I know by feel is it's all attached to the splitter and once the standard one is taken off there will be no where to attach to new splitter. :embarassed: So i'm thinking it will be just hanging there behind new splitter.

Dont think you got one
not as if i need it now is it  :smug:

don't worry about it - unlikely the Anni has it so you won't need it
get it sprayed and fitted :afro:

Dont why its only fitted to the PD 150
Maybe VW thought with all the extra power the gearbox needs some cooling, maybe thats why your flywheels gone so quick
Julia I wouldn't worry about it the annis dont have it so just remove it when the valance is fitted
-
I'm going to ring the guy tomorow who is to spray and fit it and see what happens. I'll let you know more tomorrow.

oooo low blow
think we should take my car to Thorpe Park - at least we won't be stopping every 200 yards to re-attach your pipes :lipsrsealed:

because the TDI 150 is the only MK4 with a FMIC as standard, and all the other MK4s have their air feed in the bumper vent where the external temp sensor is.
looking at ETKA the side cover is a different part number for the PD Anni, i wouldn't worry too much, and you can fix it with some hose
pics below
note parts numbers end E and G (I can confirm all the parts for the PD 150 do end G as I've replaced all of mine)

note no mention of GTI25

be interesting if someone with a PD anni could tell us what it actually looks like
