Title: GT Sport Front Grille & wheels
Post by: bluevortex on 05 May 2009, 11:46
Hi All

My first post on this forum. Sorry if it's in the wrong section!

I have recently purchased a 2006 Golf GT (not a sport version). I really don't like the standard front grill with the solid bars. I would like to upgrade to a GT sport grille so I can buy a badge also to clip on. I've looked everyhwere, can I find one?

Secondly, I am after a set of GT sport wheels or similar VW alternative possible Omanyt ones? I don't want to go down the aftermarket 3rd party line for the whees. Prefer to keep it VW.

Please help?

Thanks in advance

Have you contacted your local VW dealer and asked them for a price for a GT Sport front grille. Im 99% sure VW will sell you one.

yes but my local garage couldn't confirm wether it would fit or not and said once it's ordered it can't be returned - Doesn't exactly fill you with confidence. Apparently its £49.39 and £15 extra with a badge. I'm surprised there's no other sellers of this anywhere in the Uk.

VW Breakers? Got to be worth a shot - do a Google search and see what you come up with then make a few phonecalls

get the part number...the grille should always fit from my experience... the question is can you DIY fit it?  For £60 notes seems worth a punt...have you thought about the Monza wheels???  They do look sweet
