mate do a lot of research as owning a mk1 can work out very expensive especially if you get hooked on the car you have bought

keep a very clear head and try not to let your heart rule, but if you get the right  one it will make you feel so cool it hurts

and it will ALWAYS put a smile on your face when driving it

dunno wether ull find a decent gti for around 700 then... mine was 620 exactly but mines not a real GTI so...

good luck tho, ive yet to drive mine for long distances but from what i have driven they seem like a nippy little car, cant help thinking it feels far less scary than my mini at speeds, whether thats a good or bad thing is up to you lol...

Mk1 golf driver 1.3
Tax till end of june
MOT till end of august

car is very solid, had re-spray a few year ago in TNT orange.
electric windows
7 x 15 ATS cups
weber carb
coilovers all round car handles very well
stripped out interior with 2 bucket seats and Luke harnesses
flushed boot
reconditioned alternator
last MOT it had a full new exhaust system
both front wheel bearings done a few weeks ago
car starts first time every time and pulls well

few a spares with car, chin spoiler and eyelid spoiler and a few other bits. also comes with a full set of black VR6 storm corrado interior. front seats in good condition with no rips and just a little wear on drivers seat. rear seats are in mint condition.

All in all the car is very nice, sits well and drives well. there are a few bits that let it down such as the oil leaks and as the car is only a 4 speed its not great for motor way driving which, as travailing to uni and back that is mostly what i do. this would make a very nice project car for possible engine conversion or just to keep the car running over summer then would make nice winter project.

I would say it's QUITE rare as before 1983 they where rust buckets so to last 30 years is known but......

Then VW started getting there act together so i would really check that chassis.

Service History?
Mileage on clock ...Can it be verified?

Re-Spray would ring my alarm bells and even more with interior changed...Check with DVLA for any claims and owners?

Oil leaks.....That's not looking good but may not be a disaster

In fact....I apologise if i am wrong but is this a joke....
