Title: How much BHP
Post by: alex160 on 04 May 2009, 21:19
Hi all, recently got a gti but its only the 1.8 20v. Its got a cat back powerlow stainless exhaust system and a pipercross panel filter on it, what sort of bhp gain would i be looking at with  remap from r-tech?? worth doing

I know if it was a turbo charged engine then i could get sily power increase, i had it done on my TDI octavia which took it from 110 to 140bhp at the wheels and the torque was amazing. but is it worth doing on a NA engine.

hello mate

at our prices yes its worth doing, you would gain 8 to 10bhp maximum with a much smoother throttle response, and much smoother drive throughout the whole rev range.

                                  regards r-tech ben
