In my experience really well, gets most of the crap off before you put wash mitt to paint work.

Which lance have you all got? The CYC one or the Elite one? I'm swayed to elite for the freee snow foam you get with it!

Just outta curiosity, if SF is so good at cleaning, why bother with 2BM after?

Its good, as it further reduces the risk of grit sitting on the car when it is washed down with a mitt. As the snow foam "lifts" the grit away from the body of the car and rinses it away.

good work Chuff! mine now looks like gillette shaving foam after messing with concentrations and stuff. Neighbours love it and cars stop at the crossroads to have a look! one guy walking past said your car looks better white!

Why does it have to be ph neutral guys?
Title: Re: Snow Foam
Post by: ifti on 10 May 2009, 17:07
So if I have bugs etc stuck to the front of my car, and the car is generally a little dirty, will using a snow foam and lancer mean I dont need to wash with a mitt and rinse etc?

All I need to do is snow foam the car, rinse, then dry?

Why does it have to be ph neutral guys?

it doesn't have to be... but it is kinder to the fishes and the paintwork (non-acidic/alkali - corrosive)

it won't replace your 2BW completely... but you could use it midweek... you still need the agitation for your 'proper' wash to shift heavy/baked on contamination

I use a cheap Karcher and the cyc lance attachment.

I have a Karcher K7.85 and the cyc lance, now using PH neutral snowfoam mixed depending on what I am doing. The Mini one had a good dollop of CG strong wash in there to clear up as it had not been waxed before.
I always Foam twice and then do the 2BM and a rinse with RO DI water :)
