Title: Clay
Post by: Ant1981 on 02 May 2009, 20:51
I used some clay for the first time on my Corvette today, around the bottom where the tar sticks to the paint. It got some of it off actually, but there is a bit left. I was using Sonus fine clay, so guessing something else might finish the job off?

The clay was probably too fine. Use a bug/tar remover product first and then clay with a more aggressive clay (the one that comes in the megs smooth surface kit at halfrauds works wonders).

i wouldn't use clay for removing tar - it can marr the paint too much. use a tar remover first to remove as much as you can, then follow up with clay
