Ok, is there anyway of propperly securing the bottom part of my seat so its passed the MOT, it feels ok now but over years they are bound to wear in (as it where) and become tougher to pass testing, and does anybody have an acctual description or anything as to what they do at the MOT station :)

Does your seat rock side to side?? My passenger side does it in my mk2 and I can't figure out why.

Not really, only when i jiggle it at the base (then again i jiggle it hard, NO DIRTY THOUGHTS!!!!) another thing, the upright part of the seats moves about a fair bit forward and back, is that ok. They are out of an old MK3 VR6 (L reg i believe)

two little white plastic bits that clip over the ends of legs and slide into the runners on the car. They wear out / fall off which gives wobbly seats
