Was £22,400, Now £22,415
Why raise it £15 ? Why would VW do that.
You have to wonder what that £15 diff is going to do for them apart from piss off their customers like its done with me.

Currency variations? :undecided:
-
Perhaps they've added the bottle opener as standard
-
Yeah, we know its currency variations, but they are already shafting us up the a-hole, why add the extra. Silly really. When I goto the dealer, if he doesnt take an extra £15 off I wont buy it
-
They have to some how counter balance the Veyron shortfall in terms of it's retail price to it's development cost, so a percentage has to be added to the buyer of the Golf, Polo etc...
-
Thats fine then, I'll just buy the Veyron instead.

Now we're talking the positive language

I think it is the Road tax that went up today 01May by £15 for the CO2 rating of the car.

I hope it doesnt move again then, I'm defo gonna haggle the price hike off and will make a point in remembering to do it

I reckon its something about road tax too, remember reading the artical somewhere

You're moaning about £15 when you are about to spend over £22k

If you actually read anything of what was said, or took a moment to understand it, its not the price thats the problem, its the principle of upping it by that amount when there was no need to on a car that is already way overpriced. Wither it's a tax issue or a money rate issue, VW should have left it alone.
-
I have understood what was said. If you are that annoyed with it, tell the dealer, I'm sure they'll knock it off for you. Afterall it is only £15.

I agree... I would be more embarrassed to ask for £15 off. I'd be asking £1500 !

VW make cars to make money.... I am sure the thousands of future owners of Mk6 GTi's won't of even of noticed the price increase so VW will happily collect all those extra £15's!! Oh and they will probably increase it again in a couple of months ready for September registrations!
-
£22,400 for a golf, thats insane. I think I would pay £8000 more and get a mint 2nd hand BMW M6
-
Odd that they didn't hike the price by the £1000 that the SMMT have to discount on the scrappage scheme.
No point being caught with your trousers down by the Government now, is there?

If you think it is overpriced, then why would you be willing to pay that much?? A car is worth what you are willing to pay, thus, it would not be overpriced in your opinion.

well as far as I'm aware, the mk3 got more praise when it came out than the mk6. There's actually a fair few mk6 haters, and im 50/50 for it. Mechanically very nice, but it looks like a mk5 with a facelift.
-
Don't LIE Khare Bear! It's a different animal all together it's nothing like the MK5, nothing! it's different completely nothing alike the old version FACT.
