Title: Correct dipstick?
Post by: maxp on 30 April 2009, 19:09
Edit: Being a dumbass - the first pic is just the broken bit of the original adapter still attached to the dipstick.

odd littel bit of plastic in the oil won't do any harm,  there is a strainer on the pickup and even if someones punched a hole in that the oil pump gears are significantly harder and tougher than plastic then it'll get caught in the oil filter as it should

I had that problem with mine - When I pulled it off, some plastic fell down the hole. The dipstick retrieved it though :)
