Hi all,
I have a '94 GTi and need to respray a part of the bodywork... problem is I'm not sure what colour it is. It's a very dark metalic red, burgandy colour.
I think it's the same as this, but it's changes depends how the light is hitting it http://i12.ebayimg.com/06/i/001/45/63/bf6a_3.JPG (http://i12.ebayimg.com/06/i/001/45/63/bf6a_3.JPG)
Was there only one red the same as in the picture? I've been to halfords and there is one call something beginning with 'C' pearlescent paint... Sorry for being a bit vague here
Thanks,
Dan

Thought it was Indian red but looks slightly lighter.
Open the boot and there should be a sticker in there with your paint code on it.
The sticker should either be on the rear panel or under the carpet next to the spare wheel hole

Thanks for the info, I'lll look tomorrow
Thanks again,
Dan

Wouldnt advise the halfords match paint.
Can be good, can be poor, depending on the person making it.

bought a tornado red paint chip thing from halfrauds and colour is spot on

They aint mixed on site there and then are they?
The spray cans are mixed at request, by some 17year old heavily pregnant girl, who never took maths as a subject, yet has to measure things out exactly to make your paint. lol

havnt triede the stuff made up in the cans so cant comment

Your car is one of two colours,
lc3l hot chilli red
lc3t indian red
i would say it's chilli red, as mine is indian red and slightly darker. I had some mixed up at halfrauds which didn't match, so got the correct paint from the main dealers, now it's spot on.
You can find the paint code on a panel under the bonnet/in the boot somewhere or in the log book. I have a new can of hot chili red which is wrong for mine if you want it.

Hi all,
I got the paint mixed a Halfords, my code is LC3T but it's not on thier system as that. Took them a while to find it, as the code was slightly different or a mistake in the program. It's Indian Rock Red C3T if your thinking of getting it from Halfords, was a really good match
Thanks,
Dan
