One of the plugs from my battery has worked itself out and is now lost somewhere on the road.
I'd really rather not fork out for a new one, I'm thinking of raiding my nearest scrapyard, does anyone
1) have any better suggestions
2) know if there are many variations in these plugs, I've got a horrible feeling there will be
Got a bit of gaffer over the hole at the moment, not ideal I know!
cheers

Each battery will be different and I would have thought finding one the same in scrappie pretty unlikely. How the hell did it come off? I'd get a new battery TBH.

don't worry I sorted it!
visited my parents and my dad had a perfectly sized rubber bung in a box of random bits in the garage, I really don't know where I'd be without all the random crap he keeps!
-
I think they get a box or something when their first child is born as my old man is exactly the same.

I drilled a hole through my last battery by accident with a 10mm drill :embarassed:
I just stuck a piece of duct tape over the hole  That battery lasted a good 6 years too!

What were you doing that caused you to drill a hole in the battery?

My guess is that he used the battery as a work top
