Hi guys and girls
I need some help with a few things
1) my boy closed the boot then came in looking sheepish very concerned i asked was wrong and he said
"when i closed it the wipe thing fell off" alittle confused i had a look its sheared dont know how right has i like having a rear wiper is there anywhere to get a smoother wiper unit for my mk3.
2) where do you get site stickers from
3) i`m looking to get a backbox for my golf any ideas just want a nice burble but nothing to drone my ears on the motorway.
cheers everyone

Hello. . didn't understand question one?
site stickers are on the home page under shop.

1. you can either remove the wiper and fit a simple aerial bung (halfords £2) or if you really want to keep the wiper I believe a later polo smooth arm fits (or there is a place on ebay that sells the full kit)
2. golfgti.co.uk (http://golfgti.co.uk) then click the shop bit
3. if you keep the middle box most will stay quite (I had a volkspares type fitted and below 4000rpm she was quiet) or try jetex for best quality and low noise

Sorry to hijack but it's kinda relevant, my centre section broke the other day and off came my back box which was a no name twin round tailpipe (looked good but that's about it) the car sounds exactly the same and runs exactly the same. I looked into the box the other day and it's empty? I can see right through it! Is that right? It is running sluggish and I'm in the process of getting it serviced but do you think that it's gonna run better with a standard exhaust on it? If so what's the point in just having a back box?

most sports back boxes are straight through type...so its quite normal

What about back pressure?

What about back pressure?
thats why sports exhausts give that bit more power, they reduce back pressure so the gas flows faster. but changing the back pressure also increases the power range (so you'll find a bit more power but higher on the revs!)

It has come to our attention that a BMW M1 rear wiper blade and arm fit  Guy is posting pics a bit later so keep an eye on this thread:

Nope and your so wrong about the fashions.
I would also like to say apart from fuel costs it is cheaper to run / service and insure than the Golf.

If you need to know the model code for the 1 series it is e81 b t w.
And Shady it is not the m1, it is a 2005 116I with the e81 chassis code the facelift e87 car is different again.
Maybe you could change the title of this thread: http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=115013.0
