Title: Best way to clean roof lining?
Post by: mk3valver on 28 April 2009, 13:20
Im needing some advise on getting a slightly grubby headlining clean without taking it out of the car? It's a mk3 Gti with a light slightly soft to touch lining. I just dont want to jump on it with a scrubbing brush and shampoo cos I can see a it spreading a dirty foam around.

Any advise much appriciated. Matt

biobrisk diluted in a spray bottle set on fine mist, lightly spray rooflining small areas at a time suck out with a wet vac  repeat as required, close windows turn engine on,heaters on full heat and full blast should be dry in 30 mins to an hour

nearly forgot!! add a cappfull of zoflora antibacterial to the spray solution, will stop any bacteria from breeding whilst its wet and will leave a nice smell when dry.

i been using a new scratch and stain squirty from autoglym and its really quite good, has had a load of stains out of my old mon's cars headlining. you have to scrub like a motha though with the little sponge that comes with and leave dry.
