I take it as that the sub isnt 1200watts RMS? must be 400-700rms or more like 600rms correct me if im wrong. best bet would be a jbl 600watts RMS from egay (cheapest). you can look else where but i dont think you will be able to get the most out of that with that budget i could be wrong. sorry mate

its not so much about the power of the amp as some amps dont give out what they read, jbl 600 would be ok however in my opinion ure going to be running the amp nearly flat out to get the sub running well thats assuming you like it loud and im thinking you do thats why ure amping up ure 6x9s.

why not get an amp of say 1000watts and turn it down to just over half gain??? this way ure subd getting moved but the signal from the amp is good as its not strugeling at all and can be run like it all day long. just dont get the bug of turning the amp up to much or you will blow ure sub!

thats my opinion though and lets face it off ebay you will pick up a 1000watt amp for under £100

that sounds good, i was running 2x jbo subs, running at 1200w each, they were powered by a 3000w amp and that was mentally loud, but im going back to single sub as spare wheel access is a nghtmare with twin subs lol.
