Title: Knock Knock!

My fault code reader device has picked up a Knock Sensor fault what does this do? Could this cause the missfiring im experiencing and if so how much for a newy? Thanks Chaps!

it sense knock basically on the bottom end, and retards or advance timing in the ecu to accomdate the knock.

Sometimes you can undo them, clean the surface up and then bolt them back on and this cures the problem. They need to be done up to the correct torque setting.
