Hey guys and gals, I've been wondering how much of a market there is for banded steels....I know about wide-wheels etc and I know that people ask about them on various forums all the time, but would those people put their money where their mouths are?
I was chatting to my engineering guys today about it and they can band them no problem...now, I trust these guys implicitly to do a top notch job as they're right at the top of their game and do a lot of OEM work for various car manufacturers, so there's no concerns as to the quality or the safety of the work
I haven't got to talking about prices yet, but I'll be looking at undercutting the competition .....I'm gonna get a set made for myself and then I'll decide for sure if I'm gonna go through with it, but for now, I'm just gauging interest
So...any thoughts?

I'm not sure there would be a huge market. That said, the only thing stopping me getting some is the price, seems a lot for a fairly straightforward bit of engineering.

+1
You see guys on ed38 selling them for like £600 which seems a lot considering they are 2nd hand. They look cool when painted right though!!

Yeah, that is a lot of money! I'm more realistic with my prices! Theres a guy on volkszone trying to get £1000 for a set!!!!!!!!

I think two years ago, maybe there was.
In today's economic climate, I think you'll be swamped with proverbial tyre kickers and time-wasters.

I think the biggest issue is a lot of people believe they are illegal.
