Thank you

Also, how important do you think the heat shield is because I cant tighten it enough to stop it rattling and someone suggested just removing it. Any thoughts?

My steering is a bit stiff but not all the time  :undecided:
A guy from a garage told me that it might be the pump on the power steering? But then he also just had a quick look round an a quick drive and reckons I need a new catalytic converter

Heatsheilds are not needed, and most if not 99% of the people on this forum, have removed theirs and are fine.

Has the cat ever been replaced? If not you may still need one, especially if its be vibrated against with the heat sheild, when i removed my heatsheild i found that the cat had collapsed, and was just a tube full of metal and soot! lol

thread jack: can you put a decat pipe on the mk3 or will it mess with the o2 sensor to much?
