Title: Garrett T34 turbo Mk1 advice on turbo
Post by: rajg on 26 April 2009, 18:46
Hi, ive brought this turbo, just would like to know is it a T34. also which model did it come off. How easy is it to rotate the core or compressor around? could anyone point out which is the oil and water.

i would like to know, ive spun the blades/shaft and it dont spin freely, would you guys recommended putting oil down the oil line to lub the bearings? the shaft has no play.

here are some pics of a comparsion of size compared to

right K24 KKK, IHI VF 22 and hopefully a T34

as you can see the size difference between the core's and compressor housing.

The T34 when compared to the a T3 (silimar size to the K24) is about twice its size.

how can i find out a correct model?

also i have fixed the issue with the shaft spin, it was due to carbon build up between the housing. ive now opened and cleaned the core side and it  spins perfectly.

so is it a T34? from the replies im a bit confused
