Title: electric sunroof.. corrado motor?
Post by: jayc on 26 April 2009, 01:54
to my astonishment today i went to the scrappy for a vac actuator.. alarm etc.. long story, anyway, what do we find? only a corrado! dash n all.. with no interest, anyway i was wondering if i could fit the map light, cowling and sunroof motor as it looks pretty identical to the golf?

im pretty sure it cant be done tho, ive seen the various mods with pauxhall motors but i thought i would ask. theres also a nice spal universal eletric window kit in there!

jay :)

I've heard things about putting the tilt-n-slide sunroof out of Audi 80's in. I'm assuming that you can also put an electric sunroof out of an Audi 80 in. I'm pretty sure I read that the panels are the same size as the mk2's, but I don't know this for sure, am planning on doing it myself at some point, but haven't measured up so can't confirm this.

scirocco panel and old square audi 80 are the ones you want. no idea if the corrado motor fits actually, does the scrappy have any mk2 golfs in? ;)
even if you find a motor that does fit theres a bit of panel that needs to be cut out to add clearance for the motor, I've got an audi one in mine from a later 80 model.
