Just thought id say hi to you all.
Unfortunately my distant uncle died a couple of weeks ago and i was offered his mk2 gti for £200. I bought the car last week with the intention of restoring it. Its done 180k has complete history of all work carried out since it was bought in Aug 1990 and a fsh. New full magnex exhaust, 4 new tyres, cat 1 alarm and immobiliser and half leather seats. The car drives and runs almost perfectly but the paint badly needs sorting so im gonna make a start on it tomorrow. What do you think?
