As most of you may know i've recently fitted an abf in my 89 gti 16v when removing the kr lump the original downpipe and silencer were chopped off due to being rotten. Anyway i've now got the abf downpipe fitted but the gap is alot wider meeting up with my stainless than before with the silencer not being there
Any how i wanted away with the silencer and the 8v does not have this if they are the same length il buy a new 8v downpipe tomorrow then my car is complete please help as il have trouble getting a longer piece made up for the abf downpipe to reach the stainless
Or will a new standard 16v downpipe be fine on the abf manifold with the abf being taller block will it bolt up the same as when the kr lump was in their
the only engine mount mods is a solid front the rest standard

when I did my abf conversion from my kr I left my 4 branch on and it lined up fine so being a slightly taller block shouldn't matter. What I think you need is a mk3 decat pipe after the abf down pipe
