HI everyone,
Can you put a multi function steering wheel with paddles on a car that has DSG and get the paddles to work the gear shift?
Has anyone done this?
Any help greatly appriciated

if the cars already dsg, you shouldnt have a problem, just plugs, maybe some vag com,
if the cars a manual, then no, as far as i know, theres way to much to do, e.g. a dsg gear box etc

Car is a 2.0 td DSG sport.

It can be done but you'll probably need to change some parts and "vcds" the new wheel.

I have an 05 plate DSG and according to my local dealer a retro fit is not possible as the car rolled off the production line with different wiring from that of a factory fitted paddle shift steering wheel.
However, if anyone knows of a dealer who can perform this change I would love to know.

HI, what parts? and what is vcds?

This post although not steering wheel with paddles specific will give you some idea on what's involved and the steering wheel controller number required.

to: live in hope, I really wouldn't bother. its a fun option, but I've hardly used mine in 3 years, so considering the time/hassle/money to retro fit, its personally not worth it.
get a engine mod or something to give you more power, money better spent in my opinion.
