thats a bloody good point who is your insurncae through?
-
A company called Photoguard, absolutely spot on :) Google them and run a quote! Very easy to add gear to it at a later point too.
So worthwhile having the insurance there. I feel alot more confident about where I take my camera and how I use it, etc. £35 is well worth the peace of mind!

insurance... errr.... hadn't eve thought about it!
can't HIC do it?
might it be covered under contents insurance?

I got a 3 year warranty with Currys with mine for £30. Covers me against mechanical breakdown and accidental damage (in case it topples over on the tripod stink :P).

Nah doesn't cover theft but doubt it will get stolen, if it does I'll claim off the house insurance instead. :)

I never really thought about camera insurance. Good point.

I think I was quite worried about theft, especially if I go down durham for night shots and take my tripod, etc. but if I were held at knifepoint, etc. I'd just hand it over knowing I can easily claim on my insurance.
Everyone should get camera insurance!
