i have a 2006 gti and have been having problems with vw service at the dealership. my car has been making a noise coming from the the engine . i was told by the dealership it was the pvc valve and are charging me $600 to replace it. does anybody know where its located and how to replace it?

its mounted on the side of your turbo i think, its very hard to get to.  :smiley:

what sort of noise has it been making mate as you got me worried nw as my 2006 gti makes a weird engine noise ?

If it sounds like a diesel its normal  :grin:

Sorry Joe but you are thinking of the DV. 

You can get a latest version full replacement from Awesome for £103 if your dealer doesn't have it or can't tell you what version they are getting for you.
