Title: Bonnet Open Light wont go out?

Hi There

Checked the oil the other day - when I went to close it the bonnet wouldnt push down - the mechanism had seized which has been fixed but now im left with the car saying that the bonnets open all the time when it isnt.

Any ideas please

This may sound harsh, but try slamming the bonnet down!
I had a problem with my wipers not working, rang VW assistance and the mechanic said the sensor needed to be wakened up if you know what I mean. So I gave the bonnet a good slam it it worked, And its probly working off the same sensor.

That makes sense as my wipers dont work initially when I start the car then start working 30-60 secs later - a healthy slam then when I get home
