Title: engine idles at 500 revs

hello.

My mark 3 is running at 500 revs.The car runs well at normal driving conditons until you stop for lights etc.I have cleaned the throttle body and left the battery disconnected so the ecu is reset(main dealer told me it could be a communication error and they would charge me ?40 to reset it lol).
Does anyone have any ideas or are the main dealers going to have to work their magic with my bank account.

i dont know but mines revs at 800 so set ur revs at that n see wat happens

Mine also idles at about 800-900rpm so thats what you should be aiming for
