Title: chrome VW badge - gti grill
Post by: jazzygm on 31 July 2004, 09:31
I have a GTI grill sat in my room, waiting for crystal's and then waiting to go on my car, but it had the black VW badge on it, and I want it chrome look! I helped myself to a chrome style VW badge at a scrapyard, but it was only from a standard grill and is smaller  ::)

can I buy chrome/metal GTI grill badges? If not, what do I need to do to the black one to bring it up all shiney!

You don't say what MK you have but I got a "shiny" VW badge from Euro Car Parts for my MK1 cab, it's not chrome though, it is plastic, but it looks ok. Have a look in the Deals & Discounts section and post a message to Stu at ECP.  :)

Yeah, just shiny plastic is all I want!!  ;D

And the jetta front end completely changes the look of it.... I want a golf not a jetta!! Just dont get the recognition without the round lights  :P

Defo easy boy racer mod..... bit like neons....  ;) :P

I'm 19 and I wouldn't say I could get away with neons, I'd know people were laughing at me as I drove past lighting up the ground!  8)

Give Stu a ring at Euro Car Parts then, they aren't cheap though, think mine was about ?15 but it looks so much better than an old dull one. Can't believe I asked what mark you had when there's a pic in your sig - doh !

cool. they do.... but are they for the standard golf grill rather than the gti grill (which has a larger badge with the clips upside down to standard golfs (2 at the top, one at the bottom)?
