Title: vr6 oil ??

whats the best oil to put in a vr6 that has done 108 thousand miles ?? , is it beta to stick with 10/40 or go for something thicker ?

A 10/40 is fine. I personally always use Castrol Magnatec but thats just my preference!

VR6 is no different from any engine and 108k miles is nothing for a VW engine.

hi run my v6 on magnatec 5-30 fully synthetic but the 10-40 is good enough try and get a vw filter as they are the best and cheap as well :laugh:

my vr6 has done 158k miles now n still run mine on 10-40w but have been told might be worth running on 15-40w.

10w40 semi synthetic what ever the mleage (comma eurolite is my chosen one)
