Title: Fuses for MFA Reset

Hello people,

Was driving 2 nights ago and the car randomly cut out coz it was not idling correctly. :huh:
Anyway, this happend twice and since my MFA has been stuck on the clock mode!
The stalk button presses do not get registered and I can not access the other options.
 :angry:
I disconnected the battery last night and it still comes up only with the clock?
I understand disconnecting fuses for the clocks can also reset the mfa readout memory?

Could someone kindly outline which fuses I need to pull out?
At the moment, I gather:
U1 - 14
U2 - 14

i wouldnt have thought pulling fuses would make much difference if you have already dissconnected the battery more or the less the same thing id have thought

This happened to me, I spent ages messing with battery & fuses and it turned out that the MFA connector plug in the column cowling had been accidentally pulled apart (by a careless immobiliser fitter).  :rolleyes:

fuse 21 is the one that will reset the clocks :)
U1/2 14 are plug/pin numbers on the rear of the fusebox.

aha, brilliant! Thanks eevryone, I will pop out the fuse and disconnect the battery at lunch!

hmm disconnected the fuse and battery at lunch, still only shows the clock and not the other functions? :sad:
Il get a free halfords battery check over the weekend (read on here that un underpowered battery can show such symptoms)?

Will look at this however i didnt touch any of this to create the problem!

Just turn the key so the ignition lights come on, or have the car running, then pull fuse 21 out, (no need to disconnect the battery), then put it back in again.  Some people say wait for 30 seconds before putting it back in again, to reset.
