is there a panel i can buy for this mess or do i have to try find a good welder in these monies too tight to mention days
can this be welded with it being stuctural???
-
I am not sure if you can get a panel but a good bodyshop should be able to cut it out and make a repair section as required.
-
you can buy the battery trays to wedl in but thats the chassis leg thats gone, so bodyshop or a good welder could sort it.

little off topic but ive got some rust on the exterior of the car. It hasnt made a hole like above just surface rust. Would i need to cut this out and weld a piece in or could i just filler over it and ready for spray. Im new to golfs and never had rust on my cars before so really a dam right novice

Sand it back to bare metal, fill then repaint. Haven't had a go my self yet but there is some useful info in http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/in the paint section. (Its also a pretty good site if you want to have a go at welding).

sorry if this is thread hijacking, but I took off my rear nearside wheel, and noticed a big hole in my exhaust pipe, just before the big backbox? (I think thats what it is,) but obviously tat means my exhaust is blowing, is it a big job to repair/replace this part?
Got a service in a week too, oh the £!!!
