Title: What gear have you got?

Thought this might make an interesting thread.

I've got:

Canon Eos 400D Body
Wired shutter release
18-55mm Kit lens
55-200mm Sigma lens
50mm Canon f1.8 Prime lens
Opteka Fisheye adaptor
Sigma EX Flashgun
Ebay wireless flash triggers
A couple of tripods
UV and Polarising filters
Spare batteries, mem cards etc.

At the moment i've got......

A Sanyo Xacti CA8 Waterproof video camera(Orange/Black)
And a 16GB, 8GB, 4GB and 2GB SD cards
and maybe something better in the pipeline  :cool:

and there are alot more things i want to buy  :grin:

i had a cheapo one to begin with but it wasnt that sturdy tbh, one of the best thign syou can spend a bit of extra money on is a rock solid tripod ;)

This one from Currys was a bargain :) and it defo feels solid that's for sure, I put my hands on it and applied plenty of pressure and it didn't even move lol!

what about wind? tried farting on it yet and see if it blows over?

on a serious note though thats the main reason as i know before ive been stoot taking photos and when the winds picked up been like oh crap  :shocked: and nearly watched the camera get blown over and hit the floor which isnt good :P

Well I haven't tested that lol! But I do have accidental damage in my warranty so if it did happen, I'd be safe :P


Mind you, one of my farts would be epic and probably destroy the camera with the scent lol!

Redsnapper Tripod (£75 and amazing!)
second tripod, pretty sturdy and a bit smaller/lighter
Third tripod, cheeeeeap ebay jobby, only really used as a very last resort backup or for holding a flash
Lowerpro backpack with padded compartments on the bottom shell
wired shutter and wireless shutter
2x Argos £3.50 desk lamps with daylight bulbs

and last but not least, camera insurance! I have everything insured for £1500 total, no excess to pay for £35 a year :) Accidental damage, theft, etc.

Sigma 70-210 UC zoom,
Cheapy tripod,
Off camera flash,
On camera flash,
Wireless triggers,
Loads of memory cards,
Loads of batteries,
in car charger,
CPL filter, ND filters, gradND filters, UV filters,
IR remote.

Going to be getting an A300, A350 or D40 in the next month or so and will be selling the pentax.

Not sure whther these prices are any good, but i got a 4Gb CF card for a tenner. I always get stuff from 7dayshop, they even have filters, which are good quality!

Arrived this morning along with my £0.30 sdhc card reader! seems quick enough and I can have 713 images in RAW now :)

Cool! :cool: I just bought one of those for £60 from a relative of mine with too much stuff. Not picking it up for 2 weeks tho but can't wait. :smiley:

Yeah been looking at fisheyes for a while. The shots from those look just as good as the ones from 500+ lenses so it's worth a punt :)

Looks super cool Monza! Remember my Dad getting a 20mm wide angle and I was gobsmacked by how much you could see using it. Nikon also did a 6mm Fisheye in the 80's and boasted it could actually see behind itself! Cost a few grand though...  :shocked: :shocked: :shocked:
