Title: dizzy cap
Post by: edpryce on 21 April 2009, 01:14
Ok, So I changed my dizzy cap to sort out my misfiring problem.
I plan on changing leads and sparks next, but want to buy them one by one to prevent buying something i might not need.

It now misfires more frequently, making it very obvious when pulling away in first. Could I have messed up the (what i think to be, correct me if i am totally off) ignitition timing just by taking a cap off and popping a new one on?

its still driveable but lurches when pulling off.

Thanks

You'll hear it "click" into place when it's on right. I take it you put the leads back on in the right order?

yeah , I took them off one at a time and replaced them. I'll have a check tonight. Maybe the leads arent clicked in properly?

So it would pretty difficult to mess anything else up then?
