hey, can anyone help me find a good set of these wheels (http://i17.ebayimg.com/06/i/001/41/c4/4649_1.JPG), from anywhere really... new or 2nd hand ? in 18's thanks
-
mk5 originals? or replicas in mk4 fitment?
-
i would go for the reps but if originals are not to much more then....
-
im just having trouble finding some, and i dont want to get ripped off.. first time buying some alloys tbh :undecided:

You'll need adapters to run original mk5 wheels and they're about £180

£300 without tyres and you won't need adapters.
-
oh reps it is then  thats perfect price tbh, roughly how much would i be looking for a set of tyres, thanks for the help
-
That all depends on if you want Nankangs or Pirellis :undecided:

Anything from £250 ish to £500 depends on what you want.

i would say cheapest, but i want some good quality ones, not cheap pish.. whats this deal like http://rimstyle.com/products/detail/?category=wheel_tyre_packages;type=r-line_to_fit_vwaudi_vx1_mb;model=1019;id=RLVX1MB188080510012940 (http://rimstyle.com/products/detail/?category=wheel_tyre_packages;type=r-line_to_fit_vwaudi_vx1_mb;model=1019;id=RLVX1MB188080510012940)

They'd be poop tyres. Try places like Blackcircles.com to get an idea of tyre prices.
Bob has some tyres that are quite good and were about £70 a piece IIRC.

im running Falken 452's  read loads of good reviews on them as well and i cant fault them
-
I wouldn't bother spending too much on tyres in a 1.6.

They're the ones Bob has aren't they?
So go on Rimstyle chose those tyres and for under £550 you have a set of alloys, decent tyres, bolts and a set of locking nuts!

Im going to spend all night on that website you posted Tim :(
Id murder someone for a set of these:

Thats a bloody good price for the 18'' Monza reps. I have bookmarked and shall be getting them when I need new tyres.

Hummmmm nice. Them 18 Monzas are only £295.00 ! Only thing is the are the same as what I have now, just bigger (which tbh makes a massive difference to the presence of the car). That leaves a lot more money in my wallet. . . . I think the black ones look nice, little unsure as the weather or not they will get lost in the black abyss as my car is also black . . :undecided:

 , i brought them without tyres, i phoned my cousin and he says he will be able to get a discount on some.. now i just have to buy a radiator, either spray/buy new front bumper, some un-scratched trims for inside, and maybe a bearing

Radiator isn't much and can be fitted in an afternoon. Trim is cheap from dealers too.

yeah, i have asked at some garages and they offered £100ish fitted, not too bad tbh
just wondering if fitting myself would be a better option...
-
yeah, i have asked at some garages and they offered £100ish fitted, not too bad tbh
Or buy a rad for £40ish I think and fit it yourself! that way you learn your way around your car
