Doesnt look too bad actually - although I'd like to know how much the bonnet would cost to fill in so that curve isnt there for the top of the badge.....

...........good point might look a bit strange ?.
-
Would not look like those pictures. The bonnet has a curve where the badge sits so you would need to get it filled. Looks crap otherwise!
-
I'd go down the black badge route rather than fart around filling in the bonnet arch..I think that smartens the front up IMO
-
....
Wear your VeeDub badge with pride!!
Black VW badges are traditional.
-
Where can I get a black or CF front badge?
-
Robin...always loved the badgeless dubs :lipsrsealed:
The front end weld plated and filled should be no more than £150 painted...i did the old transporter vent on my old mk3 and looked the nuts and was a quality job by a local geezer

Only person I know who has gone down the badgeless route so far.

with the cost i can see why, but judging by the rest of the car, it wasn't an issue any way

Hurdy, i forgot to say that i saw your motor up at elsecar the other week and its looking hellishly nice  you must of been one of the ones at the back wall with nickvw
-
Not my cup of tea. Front of car looks too empty without any badge. Black badges are ok as at least your eye has something to focus on.

....I soooo much prefer your GTI, Hurdy, to that metallic *cough* urine green show *cough* car! But, it would be dull if we all liked the same.

Really glad the weather was better than the sleet and sub zero conditions last year
-
love it red robin lol
-
weather was definitely better this year...although i still had to get back for mid afternoon due to the missus arranging family stuff
RR i know what you mean about the colour and that, but the whole modding thing is integral to the dub scene, and has been as far as a i can remember...its very much each to his own, but i agree POWER POWER POWER
-
....
Yes, I was only being very honest in my criticism of that colour - All very subjective and each to their own. The 'Dub scene' is very healthy and I admire the dedication of some people.
