how the devil do you get this to work?i put it in the laptop and it installs put doesnt seem to find it when i plug it in?its runin on vista am i missing anythin

have you changed the com port settings so the lead corresponds to the setting on vag com? and you have to run it as administrator to :wink:

com port?in vag com sit it to usb if ya get me?

have you installed a virtual com port that vista needs to run the usb if not you have to tweak it it does work :wink:

this is for xp but its pretty much the same as vista :undecided:
It told you how to change which com the lead was on in windows, buy going to control panel - system - device manager - ports, and then changing the port the vag com lead is connected to to com 2, by right clicking the lead goto - properties - port settings - advanced settings - then change the port to com 2 and ok.
Then try it in vag-com on com 2
You also got to be in administrator to run it

done it think i got sum promblems which numbers are the fault codes? controller?component?coding?shop?

your fault codes will be highlighted in the box as a series of numbers etc
