Hi..
Couple of things, My drivers elec window appears to have stuck closed, I can hear the motor clicking when pressing the button and it dips the revs, I can feel inside the door panel and the motor is warm..does this sound like a motor failure or just a stuck window? the whole window action was previously a bit temperamental and noisy i should say.
Have checked all wiring and the boot between door and pillar,
The other thing is i've just started getting a whiring noise on unlocking/opening the drivers door..coming from under the dashboard or in the bulkhead maybe..it sounds electric or electronic, like something resetting itself..any ideas?
Thanks

With the window, take the door card off, locate the motor and give it a tap with a hammer whilst holding the window switch, mine does it sometimes.

It could be just badly adjusted. As already said, remove the door card and have a gander. It's actually a very simple system and not difficult to change either, if it's buggered.
Try what DraperGTI said and if that does not work, then loosen the bolt that attaches the window support to the winder mechanism, force the widow up as far as it will go, then tighten the bolt. Then try it.
You could also try swapping the window switches on your console over to see if they are at fault. They are not the most reliable things in the world, which is why I have a load of spare one floating around.
