Title: Meguiars 3 step help

Recently used the 3 step to do my sisters car, came up very nice but too much like hard work for me and going to be doing my own car when home.

Question is;   Car I use any of these with machine polisher or do I have to buy other stuff??

hay im just wondering what is megs three step and what cutting stuff and things would i need?
i have a g220. just not shure what megs three step is or what id need for it lol

Its mainly hand applied, and basically polishes and protects the paint. Why not save yourself money and time get a bottle of autoglym Super Resin Polish and a tin of Collinite wax. In my opinion, you'll get better results too.

The Mequires 3 Step consists of a cleaner, polish & wax.

The cleaner is ideal for prepping the paint after a wash or clay, applied like polish & buffed to a shine. Polish applied as per usual & same with the wax.

Not a bad starter set up & reasonable price, BUT the wax isn't great, it's not the easiest to buff off & doesn't last long, so I'd suggest either a second coat of wax, tech 2.0 or similar or dropping the 3 stage wax althogether.

Alternatively just use a better polish/was combo from the start! :afro:

The Megs 3 step is ideally used by hand, I had the same question when I started machine polishing and was told best to get the polishes that are designed for machine use to gain best results.

I started my polishing collection off with Megs #80 and #83

Its a good starting block but if you already have a G220 then I'd opt for the machine polish combo results will be better.

I'd finish off with Megs Mirror Glaze #16, goes on nice and is easy to buff. Beads like a bugger :grin:

I use the first 2 steps of Megs, but use the Liquid Wax (Gold Class) instead of the 3rd stage wax. Mind you I find this wax doesn't last too long so 2 coats need applying, just waiting for it to run out so I can get some Collinite 915.  :grin:
