Hello everyone, Just saying hi. I bought a very cheap '86 Mk2 GTi off Ebay the other week a complete bargain, I think!. It's totally unmodified and unmolseted with hardly any rust and just a couple of dings. We'll see how 'cheap' it turns out to be in the coming weeks. I had it M.O.T.'d the other day and all it failed on was a leaky rear shocker, which I replaced (pair) earlier this evening...gawd I'm knackered now!.
I've ALWAYS driven VWs or Audis since I passed my test in '89 and I currently also run a '79 Bay window (a grey primer sh!tbox but I love it!)and have a '78 Last Edition bug undercover on the drive (needs a bit of welding). Blimey, just saying hi...yeah right!
I've already picked up some excellent tips from this forum and will visit regularly.
Cheers!

Thanks for all the welcomes! I'll try and sort some pix soon, but theres a pic of my Bug here; http://www.lasteditionbeetle.org/picserve.php?pageId=lebuuc195s&pageSeq=1
As for going faster than 60 I think my licence is in serious danger! This car is so much faster than my Audi 80 which I just got rid of.
And yes, I'll be keeping it bog standard although you never know ;)
