Whilst I was back in Spain seeing my loved ones, we went out east to see a ghost town and stopped at a fuel station where I found this.

It is a very late 3 door 8V GTI in exceptional condition. My guess it's a 1992 model. The rear light clusters are still there and in tact. The interior is still there and in very good condition. The engine is still there and complete, but there is no radiator, air filter box nor battery. The seat bolsters are even still in good nick. Even the bumpers are very recoverable! If I was to stay in Spain, then this car would get rescued. It is structually better condition than my G60 was when I first bought it. It would have made a great project. I have let a freind of mine know about it, but I think it will end up being binned. R.I.P.

There's one in a car store next to my old man's garage, had lots of bits taken, but might have it if it's still there in a couple years :undecided: :undecided:

I'm back here in the UK now. It is seriously worth saving. Cars don't rust in Spain. Mine is testament to that as some will see in a couple of weeks time.
The body is as straight as a die, as are the moveable panels, ie, doors, bonnet etc...

Hi
What about the coastal areas where the air must be salty.
